Create a Cool Music Video for Your Business Using Animoto

My friend and colleague, Ryan Coleman, told me earlier this week about Animoto. It is a free and very easy tool you can use to create a quick music video. I literally did this quick video in 5 minutes. I just grabbed the images from EDGE! A Leadership Story and uploaded them to Animoto, added music and five minutes later I had this video (be kind…this was definitely a quickie.)

You can play around with the tool to improve the quality over this. But…this is a nice addition to other marketing tools you may be using.

Learn How to Write a Great E-Book: Desperate Buyers Only

I had a look at a great e-book book today: Desperate Buyers Only.

The author (Alexis Dawes) gives some great insight into how to write e-books and articles to help desperate people out of a bind such as:

• People who want to make it through a financial crisis
• People who want to lose weight
• People who want to train a dog

And so on…

Dawes gives some great tips (she does quite well writing small reports and e-books that offer great information…and I know you can do this too!)

How to Host Your Own Blog On Your Own Domain

One of the things I learned from Andy Wibbels was to always, always host my blogs on my own domain names.

I am in LOVE with Dreamhost (they make my life a dream.) One of the cool tools they offer is a little one step install to get a Wordpress blog installed on your own domain name…hey…That’s EASY!

So…here is what you do:

1. Go to http://dreamhost.com

2. Sign up for an account

3. Register for a domain name (if you have a domain name that you are dying to have, and if it’s taken, go to http://GoDaddy.com and let them suggest some domain names that are close to what you want)

4. Choose the feature to host your domain with Dreamhost

5. Go into “Goodies” (it’s on the left sidebar)

6. Choose “One Click Installs”

7. Choose to Install new website software - Advanced mode

8. Then, just follow the instructions and fill in the blanks
